Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Amahlo Consulting collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

  1. 01. Who we are

    Amahlo Consulting is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. Waterfall Business Park, Midrand, Gauteng. Telephone 011 568 6922.

  2. 02. What we collect

    Only what you send us through the briefing request form: your name, organisation, role, email address, phone number (optional), sector and message, and your consent to our processing them.

    To limit repeated submissions, our server keeps a scrambled, one-way version of your connection’s IP address for one hour, then deletes it. Like most websites, our hosting server may also keep standard access logs (IP address, date and time, and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.

  3. 03. What we do not collect

    This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tools, and does not track you across other sites. It loads no content from third parties.

  4. 04. Why we use it

    To respond to your enquiry, arrange a briefing if you ask for one, and keep a record of our correspondence. We process it with your consent and to take the steps you ask for before any engagement. We do not use it for marketing, and we never sell it.

  5. 05. Who sees it

    Your request goes to Amahlo’s enquiry inbox and is handled in confidence by the people who respond to it. Our hosting provider stores it on our behalf, under an obligation to keep it secure and confidential. We share it with no one else, unless the law requires us to.

  6. 06. Where it is kept, and for how long

    The website and our enquiry mailbox are hosted in South Africa; your information is not sent outside the country. We keep it no longer than we need to respond to you and keep a record of the enquiry. If your enquiry becomes an engagement, the agreement for that engagement governs it from then on.

  7. 07. How we protect it

    The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. The form’s destination address is kept off the website, the form is checked on our server before anything is sent, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who handle them.

  8. 08. Your rights

    Under POPIA you may ask us whether we hold personal information about you and for a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our processing it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
